A dark and scary place made

into a social activity hub!

SOCIAL DESIGN

LOCALLY ROOTED

Tunnelen gives the inhabitants of Oslos' suburb Ammerud a climbing wall, Norway's longest Monkey-bar and a highly desired social hub. The project is a collaboration between the municipality of Oslo and three industrial design students from AHO. Eriksen Skajaa Arkitekter was the executing architectural company.

The building process finished summer 2015 and is now a place of smiles and happy faces climbing around. Tunnelen has received a great deal of attention from the press and won several prices for it's innovative nature.

ENGAGING

THE CITIZENS

Having the people take back the dark and scary tunnel, making it a fun and beautiful place to stay. Giving them a taste of the atmosphere about to come!

INTRODUCING

THE DREAM TEAM

"A good teamwork is when nobody remembers who had which ideas. When all the bits and pieces brought to the table becomes one great holistic design."
