EXHIBITION PIECE

YEARLY BREATH

Each year you breathe over 6 million litres of air. Can you imagine how much of this is actually dust?

YEARLY BREATHE calculates how much particulate matter you would breathe when exposed to the real time values of PM2.5 in the streets of Beijing, London and Oslo. Every 15 minute a specific amount is dispensed from each city. At the end of the day a pile of dust will show your yearly breathe of dust regarding to your location.

PM2.5 stands for particular matter with a diameter 100 times thinner than human hair. The dust triggers and aggravates diseases, primarily related to the respiratory and cardiovascular system.
